Typical dishes, generous portions… Le Gerber honours traditional mountain cuisine, but also that of Italy. This family-run “brasserie” welcomes you from breakfast time until late evening. The decor is on a par with the dishes. A chalet revisited, with slate and timber, natural stone, old parquet, and a spacious terrace, heated in winter, offering one of the best viewpoints for admiring the heart of Crans on the Montana side.
You can come and eat here all day long. The Bestenheider family has dreamt up treats for the palate with a wide array of flavours to satisfy all appetites. From copious breakfasts with plain or chocolate croissants with butter, to tasty lunches and dinners with superb pizzas cooked on wood fires, seasonal salads, “planchas” of dried meat or homemade hamburgers. Not forgetting Gerber-style specialities: veal kidneys, fillets of Loë perch, and Buffalina spaghetti.
Armand Bestenheider was the first to believe in Le Gerber's potential. The former hockey champion for whom “nothing is impossible” took over the business with real flair before handing it over to one his daughters, Stéphanie Bestenheider. Manning the ovens, her husband Frédéric Gianotti runs his kitchen brigade with enthusiasm and empathy.
