In 2018, on the occasion of the resort's 125th anniversary, 12 giant letters composing "Crans-Montana" were installed on the banks of Lake Grenon, but elsewhere too! In fact, 12 replicas were scattered around nature, indicating the region's finest viewpoints: Vermala, Bisse du Ro, Aminona, Grand Bisse de Lens, Colombire, Bella Lui, Plaine Morte, Chetzeron, Barrage du Rawyl, La Tièche, Ollon and the Ballesteros Golf Course.
Associated with a specific theme, each stage offers an itinerary to help visitors discover it. Setting off from Chetzeron, the Panorama 4000 path leads to Aminona (14.3 km, 4 hrs 37 mins.). As its name suggests, this hiking trail offers panoramic views of the Rhône valley and the snow-capped peaks of the famous "4,000". Its first section also leads to the Cabane des Violettes, run among others by the star-rated Chef of Le Pas de l’Ours, Franck Raynaud.
On the way, you will also discover a section of the stream of Le Tsittoret created in the 15th century with water from La Tièche. The Cabane des Violettes also marks the appearance of the Huiton trail (7.4 km, 2 hrs 36 mins.) revealing the multiple charms of La Plaine Morte, the highest point in Crans-Montana at an altitude of 3,000 metres.
